Overview: #
I spent the weekend competing in the Amazon AppSec CTF, finished 4th, and earned a spot in the Finals on September 26 in Austin (Amazon AUS16).
The challenges were a blast, cloud and web stood out. Pulling flags via XSS exploits was especially satisfying. I also navigated AWS environments emulated with LocalStack, which kept me puzzling for a while. The AI and secure coding tracks were fun too, but cloud and web were my clear favorites.
